Luminote vs Kickscale — two European takes on AI in sales

Luminote versus Kickscale — two European approaches to AI in sales

Kickscale is one of the few competitors we will not describe as “an American stack with European risk”. It is an Austrian company out of Vienna, with servers in Germany and an ISO 27001 certificate. If what you need is a meeting notetaker for a DACH team, it is a serious choice — and we are not going to pretend otherwise.

A meeting notetaker versus a copilot for the whole pipeline

The difference between us is not “Europe versus the US”. It is a difference of scope — and of what happens to a conversation once it ends.

Kickscale starts from the call recording and builds coaching and revenue intelligence around it. The pricing reflects that: the assistant-and-coaching package is EUR 49 per seat per month, revenue intelligence is EUR 89 with a ten-seat minimum (pricing as of August 2026).

Luminote treats the meeting as one module rather than the whole product. Alongside call analysis you get:

  • A pipeline with a committed forecast. Every deal gets a forecast category — commit, best case, pipeline, omitted. The rep signs off on it and the system keeps the history, so at the end of the quarter you can see who promised what and what changed on the way.
  • Deal health computed from conversations. A Signal Score from 0 to 10 in which a signal from two months ago weighs less than yesterday's.
  • A sales inbox. Follow-ups drafted from the call and the earlier thread, with sequences and a visible reason for every suggestion.
  • Quotes. A catalogue, price books, discount rules, approval before sending — and whether the customer opened the document at all.
  • Automations. Fourteen triggers taken from real sales life: a silent champion, a MEDDIC threshold, a quote opened twice with no reply, a deal that has not moved.
  • Analytics. Eighteen views with export and a text alternative to every chart.

If, after the call is analysed, somebody has to move the stage, write the follow-up and correct the forecast — here that is the same system working on the same data. No copying between tools.

Privacy: a certificate versus an architecture

This needs to be honest in both directions.

Kickscale holds an ISO 27001 certificate. We have documentation aligned to ISO 27001 and SOC 2 — policies, a risk register, an incident response plan, restore testing — but we are not certified. Those are two different things, and a corporate procurement team knows the difference.

What almost nobody else at this end of the market has:

  • Anonymisation before the model. Names, addresses, phone numbers and reference numbers are swapped for labels before the text reaches the model; the real values come back in the finished summary. The model sees “[Person 1]”, not the name of your customer's head of procurement.
  • The transcript is deleted after analysis. What remains is the result, not the raw record of the conversation. Keeping the recording is an option you have to switch on deliberately — by default the audio does not stay.
  • Transcription on your own machine where the hardware allows. On a capable desktop the open-weights Whisper model runs in the browser and the audio never leaves the device at all. Otherwise it is Voxtral at Mistral in Paris.
  • No OpenAI. Analysis runs on Mistral AI in Paris. Not “we do not train on your data” — there is simply no American provider in the chain.
  • A public subprocessor list with thirty days' notice before anything on it changes.

A server in Europe answers the question “where does the data sit”. It does not answer “what exactly did the model see, and how long do you keep it”. We answer both — and both answers can be checked before you sign.

Market: DACH versus DACH and Central Europe

Kickscale is built for DACH and makes a point of transcription accuracy across dialects, Swiss German included. That is a real advantage in that market and there is no sense in disputing it.

Luminote has 24 CRM connectors, and among them ones nobody else in this class carries: Livespace and Firmao from Poland, Raynet from Czechia — next to HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho, Close, Teamleader and Sellsy. The sync is two-way, field mapping proposes itself, and a permissions filter makes sure a rep never sees deals in Luminote that they cannot see in their own CRM.

The interface is available in Polish, English and German; transcription and email cover 21 languages.

When to pick Kickscale, and when Luminote

Plainly: if you sell in DACH only, you need a meeting notetaker, and an ISO 27001 certificate is a condition of purchase — Kickscale is a good choice and there is no reason for you to wait for our certification.

Luminote starts to make sense when the problem does not end at the note: a pipeline nobody updates, a forecast built in a spreadsheet on the last Friday of the quarter, follow-ups written after 6pm, a Polish or Czech CRM — and a legal team that asks not only “where is the server” but also “what exactly did the model see”.

Key takeaway

Kickscale and Luminote do not differ on Europe — we are both from here. We differ on where the product stops: for them at call analysis with an ISO 27001 certificate, for us at an updated pipeline with anonymisation before the model.
